COUPLES GROUP:
1 CORINTHIANS 13
“Love is patient and kind. It bears all things, believes all things and and hopes all things.” This group meets for two hours on one Saturday each month. In this new phase of the 1Corinthians 13 Couples Group, we focus our meetings on enriching our relationships by reading and discussing texts, books, encyclicals and documents regarding the Catholic faith as it relates to marriage and Christian life. Studying these materials allows us to deepen our understanding of the Catholic faith and our spiritual lives, with the goal of setting a good example for our children and growing-both individually and as a couple-in the foundations of the Catholic faith, while also helping to strengthen the family. The meeting is divided into two parts. In the first, we share the Gospel and a brief summary of the assigned topic. In the second part, we participate in a couples’ activity. Once a year, the group plans and organizes an annual couples’ retreat. The group is open to engaged couples, couples living together without being married, and couple married civilly or in the Church.
